History:
A vision was given to Mr. Moses Gnanashekar, on a rainy Christmas day in 2008. This vision
came from 1 Kings 17:8-12, a place called Zarephath. This place literally means to refine. We believe
God called Zarephath to exist in Columbia to transform people lives by education, empowerment and
renewing of mind. God continues to bring healing in people lives in various ways. We thank God for all
the volunteers and partners who are changing the world by evangelizing to their neighbors and nations.
Who we are:
Zarephath - Life & Dream center is an outreach of Reach International Christian Evangelistic Association, which is a 501c non-profit organization. It is a global mission center
currently located in Columbia, South Carolina dedicated to providing food, shelter, hope and help build
dreams for those in need. Our doors are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year to fight
mindset of homelessness, hunger, poverty and addiction.
Mission Statement:
Zarephath Life & Dream Global Center exists that underprivileged men, women and children receive food, shelter, education, and hear the Good News of Jesus Christ and become productive members of society.
- We believe the Bible to be the only inspired, infallible, inerrant and authoritative Word of God.
- We believe that there is one God, creator of heaven and earth, eternally existent in three distinct persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
- We believe in the deity and humanity of Jesus Christ, which He was born of a virgin, that we are redeemed by His atoning death through His shed blood, that He bodily resurrected and ascended into Heaven, and that He will come again in power and great glory to judge the living and the dead.
- We believe in the value and dignity of all people: created in God’s image, but alienated from God and each other because of our sin and guilt, and justly subject to God’s wrath.
- We believe that regeneration by the Holy Spirit by grace through faith is essential for the salvation of lost and sinful people.
- We believe in the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting solely through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ.
- We believe that the Holy Spirit unites all believers in the Lord Jesus Christ and that together they form one body, the church.
